Help identifying Italian Mark

Hello.. I'm a thrift store/estate sale junkie and recently came across this item... I suspect it's silver plate as I could not find anything that said 800 or anything of that nature only the mark shown here in the photo. R with the word Italy. The design is very intricate and I suspect maybe turn of the century???? but I'm just guessing I just thought it was very pretty... I would love to identify the maker and maybe that might lead me to a pattern or date once I know that.. thanks in advance for any help...

The "R" looks like the one used by the American company Raimond. They imported a lot of Italian silverplate into the States in the 70's.

Thank you so much I will look into that... wow.. 1970's.. they did a lovely job of making it look older... I'll have to see if I can find more of this pattern.. thanks again..
