Is it silver or silver plated?

I have a pair of this but have no idea what is it for. It has stamped 800 on it.
Could any one help me Is it silver marks or silver plate marks?

Welcome to the Forum.

Almost certainly silver plated, such pieces are fairly commonly seen, they are thought to have originated from Italy in the 1970's.
