Please help me with information on this Urn / Vase

I would like to know some information on this urn. It stands about 9 inches tall and has a tin insert. It has some stamps on the bottom that are hard for me to make out. I have been unsuccessful in identifying them on the website. I inherited it from and friends estate and would love to know more about it. Any help would be appreciated.

Just a possibility, they may be the tops of the letters EPBM, Electro Plated Britannia Metal.
