NEED HELP IDENTIFYING

Hi everyone, I need some help indentifying the maker and year of a particular piece I picked up in an auction. On the side there is a small symbol - 8 arrows . On the bottom I see a symbol of a sun followed by the letters 'M' 'B' and the letters MAP PIN. Below that there is a serial number 'S4666' and the word IMPERIAL. Is anyone able to tell me anything about this? All help is appreciated, cheers

im guessing this would make it silver plate as opposed to proper silver?

Yes, the marks indicate that the piece is silver plated, and not solid silver.
