Not sure about this pitcher

Hi everyone. Found this today and shamely someone turned it into a lamp. Was wondering if anyone knew the marks and if this is the right catagory.

That's a silver plater's mark used by James Deakin & Sons of Sheffield.

James Deakin started in business c. 1865, and was styled as James Deakin & Sons as from the 1880's. They are often quoted as being out of business by 1940, but they survived until around 1950, as the below advertisement from 1949 proves.

I would put your piece to around the early years of the 20th century.
