Unknown dinner ware

I have a large set of dinnerware that was given to us at our wedding many moons ago. I can't find a makers mark, or anything distinguishing about the pieces, or on the wood chest that it came in. I am not even sure of the material of dinnerware all truth be told. There are no marks on the back of the pieces.
I have looked high and low for this design to no avail.
If these images are not clear enough. I can pull out the real camera and take some more.

Hi AZMom,

I had flatware with about the same figure and that was marked Thailand. It also looks like a Thailand statue that is really there.

You pointed me in the right direction. It appears to be Thai/Siam with a buddah. it also appears to be bronze. I have not found my exact pieces, but at least I have a direction to look now :).
