ID Maker's Mark on Individual? Coffee Pot

Postby mmary » Mon Mar 22, 2010 1:29 pm

This pretty little pot measures only about 6.5" in height to the top of the fruit basket finial. There is only one tiny mark on the bottom - it measures only about 1/16th inch so is quite hard to decipher. My best guess is a large T over an H with dots on either side. I have searched in all my books and don't see this mark. With no hallmark I am assuming it is silverplate. The tailpiece of the wooden handle extends through a silver ring.
Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hello, could be the incompletely struck mark of Hugo Tausig from Leipzig, Germany. Best wishes, Bahner

Hi-
Thanks so much. I checked all my references and don't see the name listed anywhere. Is it possible to ask the approximate dates he worked?
Thanks again

Individual coffeepot possibly Christofle?

Postby mmary » Sat May 15, 2010 6:02 pm

I have just noticed that the design of this individual pot is very similar to some Christofle patterns although it has only the one tiny monogram mark. Ideas anyone?
