Found this mark on the bottom of what I'll call a covered gravy boat: What year is the letter stamp? and who is the maker?

Hi,

The maker is Richard Hodd & Son of London.

There is no date letter, the mark (pictured upside down) is a Fleur-de-lys, the letters 'E' and 'P' (Electro Plate) and a Crown.

Their business can be traced back to 1849 (Goodfellow, Tilley & Hodd) and I believe they are still in business today.

The use of a Crown in their mark would indicate a date of pre 1897.
