Hi there

I am new to this. I am pretty good at finding sterling silver hallmarks, but this Caddy Spoon has me foxed. Been told it is Silver Plated, also been told it used to be silver plated and is now just brass. So checked and can't find any of the marks on any websites?
Can you enlighten me as to what I have got and where it was made and how old it is?
Pretty please?
Thank you very much in advance.

Hello and welcome.

Can't help much. Just thought I'd make a few observations.

If these were British silverplate marks they would date to before 1897.
The use of a crown in a cartouche on British silverplate was banned in 1897.

The second symbol from the left (not sure what it is) often was seen on Old Sheffield Plate (fused plate) and close plated pieces.
Don't recall seeing it on British electroplated wares.

The last three marks remind me of an Old Sheffield Plate mark of Joseph Rodgers & Sons. However, he included his initials with his marks.

I have little experience with brass flatware.
These could be pseudo marks from China or India as far as I know.
Wish I could have helped more.

Pat.

Thank you Pat
