Hi, Can you tell me who made this spoon and how old is it? I would also be interested in what all these marks mean. I'm new at this and am finding it difficult to find my round the books I have on Hall Marks. Thanks

Hello from a cold and rainy Munich to Essex.

This is the famous maker's mark of

James Dixon & Sons
Sheffield
1869 - 1893

The next sign is a cross as a generic sign for electro plate and the next S stand for Sheffield. The BP is a mark for Britannia Plate (another ground material for plating)

Greetings to Essex and a nice day

yours Christian
