I would appreciate some help identifying both the mark(s) and the function of this item. A date would be nice, too.... The marks look like HC impressed in a diamond (or HG or HF???) and also the number 10 embossed in a box. I'm thinking it was a hatpin holder? - there are small holes on the birds tail feathers and around the middle section. But please, if anyone can help... Thanks so much! Carol
