Savory London Silver ware

Postby DaubenC » Sat Oct 01, 2005 9:57 pm

Can you plese help me identify this set of flat ware. I believe these are bakelite handles with Festinatio on it; The knife has mark itself looks like a G in a circle (which I thought would be Gorham) Savory then a Vwith a cross or a boat type hallmark and London PS
The fork hallmarks are a bit different

Hello DaubenC, Your set of flatware has been made by AB SAVORY and sons London and is plated silver. AB SAVORY AND SONS were very active around 1820 and became later the Goldsmiths alliance. They were also famous as clock manufacturer. Hope this has helped. Best Regards. Myriam
