I have a set of spoons which I thought to be sterling but it is not marked sterling, so I have to assume it's silver plate. see pics.

It appears that one of the marks indicate the weight, which is unusual for silverplate. The hallmark looks like an oversize keyring in the shape of a key. Any help will be appreciated.

this is as good a place as any to recommend that everyone download the best photo editing program of all, IrfanView - it's an emulator - it even recreates photos from files that have been converted to long strings of nonsensical letters (do not laugh - one speaks from experience).

that way you can take the enormous picture, crop out the relevant detail, sharpen it and resize it to a standard format and retain the size of the marks that will make for easy identification.
