Need help with marks on this cruet stand.

Not sure of the lettering J D & S? James Deakin & Sons? James Dixon & Sons? Then There is the J.G Unscrew the handle from the base and those initials are on the bottom of the handle, underneath the middle condiment holder section and at the top of the stem that comes out of the base. Could J.G be the journeyman's tally mark?

That's an early James Dixon & Sons set of marks before they started using the horn trademark (1848 - 1878).

The J.G could be a workman's initials or just the mark of the owner.
