E.J.BUXTON & CO.

Post by Alain »

Hello,
I bought this cofeepot but i find very little about the maker.
Does anyone knows more about E.J. Buxton & co.?
I was told that this pot was made around 1852 and 1899.
Is this Tudor style, and what are the 2 circles?
Thanks for your time !
Alain

Edwin James Buxton and Samuel Russell (Buxton & Russell) were partners from 1852 to 1859.
They began producing Britannia metal wares and started electroplating c.1855.

Samuel Russel set up his own business in 1859.
Edwin James Buxton continued as Buxton & Company, Duke Place, St. Mary's Road, from 1859 to 1863 according to my books.
