Spoon Warmer

Postby jh1062 » Wed Dec 05, 2007 5:58 pm

my great aunt passed away recently, and we're trying to identify a few items that we found in storage.

from some searches on the web, this item appears to be a nautilus spoon warmer. Assuming that the date stamp is authentic (is stamping the actual date common?) it appears to be older than most I've seen, and I've had no luck on the markings.

any help would be appreciated...

Jim

1786 is the design or style number, not a date.
