Hello,
Can you please help me with this Hallmark? And what does "84" mean ?
I browsed the forum, but i couldn't find anything like this one.
Thank you for your help !
Alain
Can you help me with this Hallmark?
Thank you so much for your identification of the Hallmark!
My search on the web to find more info about this factory was unsuccesful.
I have just written to the town of Bocholt that now includes Reppel, once a very small village in the province of Limburg, to find out more details of this factory.
By looking at the pattern on this spoon, can you give
me roughly a date as to when this spoon was made? My guess is that it was made around the 1930s
Fielen dank,
Alain

I have been in contact with the council of Bochold, who put me in contact with Mr. R. Jame. Autor of a book over the history of the "Usine Métallurgique de Reppel".
He told me that this factory made ONLY spoons and forks in their very beginning, in 1906.
In 1955 they started the production of stainless steel table knifes. 18/8.
The knifes have the mark "18", would that reffer to 18/8?
I also recently found out that my mother was given this items as a wedding present in 1958.The whole set must have been made between 1955 and 1958!
So unfortunately for me this is not a early production! :)
It shure has been a interesting journey to find out more about this family table set !
There is 12 of each item on the picture, so still a lot of cleaning and pollishing to do for me!:)
Greetings,
Alain
