Identify Meat Dome Manufacturer

Post by quondam24 »

I have what I believe is a James Dixon and Sons Meat Dome Imagewith platter that can be filled with hot water. I'd like some help with ID. Haven't found an exact match in the catalogue.
What does FPN mean? Image
What do the numbers 85 and Letter I mean?
Any help with age would be appreciated.
Thanks

That's one of the early marks used by James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield.

See: James Dixon & Sons of Sheffield - Information

and: https://www.925-1000.com/silverplate_D2.html

A slightly clearer image of the mark:

I D & S PN/S

PNS - Plated Nickel Silver

The other marks are internal factory order/batch/pattern type marks.
