Maybe someone can estimate the date of this pretty brooch. Do you think the pin is original? what period does the pin date to? Any help would be much appreciated.

These sorts of brooches date from after the creation of Israel. Usually with mother of pearl and other carved substances, the finer the work, the more likely it is older (tho one can't actually say "the older it is", because every craft has a learning curve).

What is more important is that this is a pretty work that appears to have every bit of easily-broken or lost filigree wire intact, and that will give you pleasure for decades to come.
