Thanks for doing that. I have tidied up your additional attempts.

The mark is an Edinburgh (Scotland) hallmark with the date letter G for 1981. Now all we need to do is to work out what the sponsor's / maker's mark is (the circular mark). Your picture is not quite clear enough so can you either try for another picture (to get it in focus you should perhaps be a bit farther away and with good natural lighting) or alternatively can you tell us what the letters are.
