Help Identifying Hallmarks "FN" and Face in Profile

Postby Miolla » Tue Nov 04, 2014 11:08 am

I would like to find out what the markings on this ring mean. One looks like the letters FN and the other is a face in profile. Both marks are on the outside of the band. The front of the ring is a glass stone with filigree design. See attached pictures. Thank you

Hi Miolla,

Welcome to the Forum.

Your ring is from Tunisia. The 'head' mark is the guarantee mark used on small objects that are at least 800/1000 silver. The other mark is likely to be that of the maker.

Please remember in future posts to keep your images to within the 7" (18cm) guidelines, otherwise those with smaller monitors cannot see the whole image.

Trev.

Thank you very much:) I will try to fit the pictures next time, I though I did re-size them but obviously not enough.
