Please ID silver bangle and mark

Can you tell me what the mark 1.44 means on this bangle? I’m thinking it is silver plated metal core. if this is so, can you tell me when the mark was first used as I would like some idea of age. Also, if possible where the bangle was made. Thank you.

Are you sure it isn't a maker's mark.... LAA and 925?
