Silver Earrings, JC and house mark, Castillo Piece?

Silver earrings marked with "Ster", "Brass", and initials "J (small house mark) C".

Is this an unusual Castillo marking?
Could not find this on the site, or in my searches.

Don't know what the mark is, but it is neither Castillo nor Mexican.

ps. You cannot leave spaces between the image tags and the address
