Bracelets marked only SILVER. Wayne Silver? Something else?

Hello. I bought these two bracelets at an estate sale last year for nearly nothing. They were very tarnished, and when I polished them (expecting to find they were extremely worn silver plate) they were very pretty. They appear NOT to be silverplated. They are marked SILVER. No other mark that I can find. Any ideas on age, origin, maker??? I would appreciate your help. I am very curious!

Hi. I don't think I can answer your question but...

I have a bangle very similar to these that I have had for over 35 years. Mine has the exact same pointed tips as yours but just a different pattern around the parameter.

My aunt bought it for me when she went on vacation to Puerto Rico at that time. When I was catalogging all of my bangles, I noticed that this one was marked "Silver" just as yours are and in the same type of font.

I had never seen something marked just "Silver" before. I hadn't even noticed until this month and I have had it all of this time.

Thank you! That is at least a lead. I will try to look into the Puerto Rico angle. The age looks to me to be about the same. I was thinking it looked early to mid 70's, but one can never tell. So many different designs have been made over the years! Anyway, I, like you, have never seen "SILVER" as a mark until I saw these. To me, that at least tends to point to a common national origin. Maybe somebody else will see these posts and give us both a little more information.
