Symbol on 800 or 900 Silver Filigree Brooch

I believe this brooch is .800 or .900 silver. The symbol on the actual pin appears to be a star "connected to" the letter "A" or a W. I don't even want to admit how many hours I've spent attempting to identify this mark. There also appears to be 5 marks, one next to another, at the bottom side of the stem (but not legible). Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
