Dutch silverstamp rB or 2B ?

Postby benten » Thu May 31, 2007 10:40 am

Hello,
This is my first post on this forum.
I have an old Dutch ring with stamps on the band ......sword and near this a stamp rB or 2B , as far as I can see.
I know the sword is sign before 1953 but the yeardate letter B ? has as you see also a "r" or "2" as an addition?
What year is this ring?
Any help is welcome.
Cheers,
Benten

Hi,

I think the sword is the one used between 1906 and 1953.
The other mark is the makers mark (can't make out from whom). There are no dateletters stamped on pieces which also carry the sword.

The text reads "Ik hou van Holland" (I love Holland).

Hope that helped a bit.
