Silver Ring, HELP NEEDED URGENTLY! Please?

Postby Sgt. Silver » Sat Nov 25, 2006 2:34 am

I have a sterling silver ring from The Netherlands and I need urgent info on it.

Pics:

The hallmarks are on the inside of the band,
And under the lion is a 1 (one) I know that means something about the silver grade?
The Netherlands COA is on the face of the ring.
Please help me!

I'm sorry if you think I'm impatiant but for the past year I have been asking people about the ring and this is the first internet forum I have tried,

I really need to know this, I think a year is long enough to wait so...

BUMP!

Hello, what makes You think this is Sterling ? The marks do not look like Dutch silver marks. Best wishes, Bahner

I think it's Sterling because the woman at the antique shop said it was,
And I thought it was Dutch because it has the word Nederlands on it.
Thanks

You mention a "1" under the lion, are you talking about the lion in the design of the ring or are there other stamped marks on the ring that you aren't illustrating? Must agree with Bahner, if the marks you show are the only ones present, they don't indicate any silver content.

I believe your ring was made from a silverplated souvenir spoon handle. See center example.
