Circle V K10 925S STILL UNKNOWN HELLLLLP

Postby mrfixitt » Thu Sep 28, 2006 3:09 am

Hi, I found this ring metal detecting. It's a tiny thing. It's one of my favorite finds. The hallmark appears to be a circle with a V inside of it. It's gold and sterling. Thank you!

Hi, It also says K10 925 S . I know the S will help with what country it's from so I thought maybe k10 might indicate a country also. Any info on that would be helpful. Thanks!

There was an American jewelry manufacturer who used the V in a circle mark. George L. Vose, Providence, Rhode Island. In business at least during the 1st quarter of the 20th century.

Hi Pat. Very similar indeed. I thank you for your insight. I'm very new to the world of hallmarks. So if I sound like a newbie. Well I am. I've noticed that only the marks from Norway and Denmark pictured on 925-1000 have the S behind 925. So here's my question for you or any of you pro's. Is 925S only seen on silver from Norway and Denmark?
