The marks show that the case was assayed in Birmingham (the anchor) in the assay year 1903-1904 (letter d), is made of sterling silver (lion passant) and was made by Ward & Francis (Alfred Ward & William Francis), case makers, of Coventry. The other marks are serial numbers and internal factory identifications. This, of course, tells us nothing about the watch itself.

Have you opened it any farther to see if there are any marks on the movement itself?

I've looked and there is a bell shaped motif with F S at the bottom.
Thanks

Hi,
I`s say the movement is British based on ``F`` and ``S`` for ``Faster`` and ``Slower`` spiral adjustment. Watches imported from Switzerland and from elsewhere usually have ``A`` and ``R``. But I am not very familiar with watches. There are forums where knowledgeable people can recognize the movement.

Outside of the internal scratches on that piece it looks in really great condition.
