Morning guys!
Need ur help this hallmark on a silver necklace.
I got from an antique exhibition in Gemany, But I'm not sure it's Germany product or not.
Only two hallmarks are found as below,to me it's "3 S" with an axe feature, but not any mark for fineness.
I suppose it is from Bremen city, dose someone knows that?
Thank u in advance

Hi,
It`s Austria import mark: Wing, letter S for Salzburg and 3= (silver fineness .835).
Used since 1925.

Hi,
Not in use any more. I think the chain was made before WW II.

one question is coming to mind, does Austria import mark indecate the silver metal being from Austria or the finished product?

Hi,
Finished chain made elsewhere and imported to Austria. Have never heard of such a complicated transaction of exporting domestic bullion silver to be processed abroad and then re-imported.

The customary definition of the term antique is that the item is at least 100 years old.
