Help to identify maker silver chain

Found it hidden in a wall, dont know the use of it, the cross was there sepparately.

Don't know the use of it? That's easy! A wall is a partition to separate two spaces. (Sorry, I really did try to resist.) The chain looks like a watch chain to me, with a pin missing from the other end where it fastened in to a button hole (?). Since we don't know if the cross was related, I won't ask you if a Bishop lived in the house. As a member of the 'found it in the wall' club, I would hesitate to remove that particular item. Someone put it there for a good reason other than safekeeping. Sorry to give you the heebie jeebies. I expect someone will answer the marks question very quickly.

Hi.
The marks speak that the chain was made in Russia at time period 1882-1899. Assay district of Kostroma.
The chain looks like a watch chain and to me, too.
