I am not sure what this ring is, or the gemstone, and these marks do not appear to be English.

Hi Missfortescue,

I agree with Oel, There should be another mark identifying the maker.

The stone, I'm hopeless on these, may be Connemara marble.

Thank you - I think you may be right, since it's Irish it wouldn't be unusual for it to be Connemara Marble.
