Strange Solid Sterling 1800s Ring 33.4g WEIRD MARKS

Postby ethicalantiquities » Thu Jul 31, 2014 8:18 pm

I bought this bizarre ring. Its 33.4 grams, more than a troy ounce. I am certainly no expert on hallmarks and makers marks, but I can usually get SOME idea of origin. I had to have a friend who is an engineer take it into his lab to photograph under microscope the hallmarks are in such an awkward spot. Its WEIRD looking right? Only a 5.5 US in sizing, and so heavy.

Have any of you awesome forum folks seen something like this before?

I sent this in to Valuemystuff and they said that it is an artisans mark likely from Sweden or Denmark. Are there any experts in swedish danish hallmarks here?
