Please help identify marks!

I have been told a number of different things about this brooch, including an appraiser who thought it was Portugese, however I was recently told that the marks are actually Dutch marks which landed me at this site. I have looked through the images on here and although the left facing head looks similar to the marks, it does not bear a number or symbol on the helmet. The mark on the right side of the brooch resembles a 1907 mark however, due to the rose cut diamonds and their setting this piece is most likely much older than that. The O on the left side does have a small mark on top of it but I do not think it is the crown. Anyway the motiff of the marks match the Dutch motiff, however I still cannot find a complete match. It is small, only 1". I really would like to find out if anyone can identify these marks!

I really can't help you with the hallmarks. But might it be, that the brooch (silver, diamonds) can be dated to the 18th century? I've seen jewelry like this in museums and in several books, but can't determine it with certainty.

Hi,

Welcome to the forum. The appearance and poor quality of your brooch & stones suggests to me costume jewellery, imitating an older style and I believe, judging by the images, made out of non precious metal and the stones made out of glass. The brooch and the marks look like to have been casted.
