Lovely brooch goldwashed with nice enamel work. Can anyone help identify the maker? Thanks!

Silvercrown,

Don't know the maker, but to cover the bases, I've added it to ->

as a "looking for info".

I have seen this mark attributed to Porsgrund, better known for porcelain which is marked with a similar anchor..

Anchor hallmark Norway

I have recently seen several pieces that attribute the marking to Hans Myhre of Oslo, Norway. One piece suggests a date from the 1950's, another says circa 1968.

Norway silver and enamel brooch - anchor mark

Postby sunderlandgirl » Wed Nov 01, 2006 8:11 pm

I don't know if this will help or make matters worse. While searching for the maker to attach to this anchor mark I was given the following info:

Olaf Lindrup circa 1930 - 1940 used the anchor.
He started working at Bernhard Meldahl and they used the anchor.
BM sold his company circa 1948 to Hans Myhre and he used the anchor.
(Hans Myhre later bought Hroar Prydz but don't know if they ever put an anchor on his designs)
All good silversmiths!
