Charles Horner Swastika?!?!

Hi,

I am looking to find the date of this pendant? I am guessing this was made before it became the Nazi symbol, sadly it is missing some enamel but the marks are clear on the back for Charles Horner. Just curious if anyone can shed some light?

Charles Horner did several pieces with the fylfot symbol, from a simple brooch or bar pin to one of a key that incorporated the symbol. They are thought to have been designed in 1894-95, but most of the pieces were produced from 1905-1915 that I have seen. Of course it was not in any way intended to represent anything other than good fortune in its day, but the symbol has become so fraught with negative connotations from having been used by the national socialists of Germany in the 1930s and 1940s that even today, such items can be difficult to sell.
