Hello, I have looked all over and I can not find this mark.

The watch case is marked with the Swiss Grouse and the German Crown and crescent. It is also marked AG 0,800 all indicating Coin Silver.

The case and movement have the crossed Hammer and what looks like tin snips which I assume is the makers mark.

Can anyone help me identify the maker? Or tell me what the hammer and snips symbol means?

The marks on a silver watch case and the marks on the watch itself are often unrelated. You are looking for a watchmaker's mark, not a silversmith and I think your best bet for an ID would be to post your question on a watch forum.

As already »Admin« Tom has advised you: It would be better to search in the internet, to find a Forum which is more oriented on Pocket watches.

It was unclear for what you really searched for.

I’ve first searched to find a German Pocket watch case maker with the initials AG. But I haven’t found any who has these initials AG. So I guess, that that indication AG stands maybe in relation to the silver fineness of 800-1,000 of your pocket watch case (AG = maybe signification for Ag = Argentum = Silver).

I’ve found in an old guide the maker of your pocket watch mechanics, the Manufacture d’Horlogerie Lion S.A., in Porrentruy, Switzerland; founded in 1892 from Albert Kenel.

The Manufacture d’Horlogerie Lion S.A. has had several different Trade marks — maybe for different qualities? One of these trademarks is that mark, you show in your photo of the mechanism.

The signification of the mark DÉPOSÉ is, that something of this item is claimed of to be Protected.

Thank you so much for the info. I hardly ever post to forums because I always seem to get it wrong and often get scolded for posting in the wrong place. I did make a good effort by posting in the silver jewelry and watches section and tried to follow the posting requirements.

Now a remark in relation to your experiences in several forums:

In »925-1000«, thanks to »Admin« Tom’s knowledge, and that of the »co-admin«, a wrong placed question wouldn’t be lost; if the »Posting Requirements« are fulfilled (e.g. a »marks« picture at least). They forward a wrong placed topic to his correct place; and on the former place remains a link.

I myself have in the short time I’ve an internet connection, also some negative experience in some other forums; especially in »online« ones.

But there existing more — it isn’t a decision between “heaven” and “hell”; if you getting distance, because you aren’t satisfied.

Try in you first — and then look out, where you are getting reliable or sounded answers.

And some times later, you could contribute with your risen experience as well.
