Help Identifying Makers Mark on Silver Brooch

Postby dotcomsusie » Tue Feb 03, 2009 11:01 am

Hi everyone,

I have what I think is a vintage silver butterfly wings and Guilloché brooch which has a little damage to one of its wings.

I'd like to find out who the markers are and which country it came from if possible please.

The photo with the mark is about as best as I can get of the mark. It looks a bit like an M with a line through the middle and underneath. Also has 930S under the mark.

Please find photos attached.

TIA

Susie

Hi Susie,

Welcome to the Forum.

I believe that's the work of Marius Hammer.

Wow Trev, thank you so much, I'm sure you are right.

What a shame it is damaged, but now I know it must be quite old.

Thanks again.

Susie
