CAN ANYONE HELP AND IDENTIFY THIS MAKERS' MARK. IT LOOKS LIKE AN "X" AND "S" or "J".
ALSO, WHAT DOES THE "RD540975" REPRESENT?
....AND CAN ANYONE DATE IT, PLEASE?

Hi Mandy,
Welcome to the Forum.
That looks like Birmingham 1913.
Check out:
http://www.925-1000.com/registry.html for the design date.
And please refrain from using all upper case letters, it's just like shouting.
Trev.

Hi Mandy,
It would be a great help if you could supply a clearer photo of the maker's mark
