I have a large SS bird pin with marcasites. It looks like it may be from Birmingham in the 1920's. Does anybody know who this maker is? The maker marks are FNW. Each letter is in a circle.
Thanks!

Hi,
Welcome to the Forum.
Not sure who the maker is but your piece was assayed in Birmingham in 1948.

How can you tell? The full assay marks are not visible in the picture. I believe the "W" is from the maker's mark, not the year.

Thank you, I didn't realize the thumbnails cropped the images.
I haven't been able to find any information on FNW, sorry.
