Hi
This bracelet was in a pile of junk.It is black and white (i think enamel) and has a clasp on the side at the 3 o'clock position. In looking it over on the clasp it is marked "italy 925" and then a rectangle area that has markings can't quite make them out but someone who knows what they are looking at may,so here we go
Thanks in advance for all the help

Can only make out enough to see that it's the official Italian mark in use since 1968 the numbers would identify the maker and the letters indicate the province.

Yes Thanks for that Cheryl,I had noticed that. But can not quite make the numbers out. The letters look like AI or AL(anybody know that).
The number appears to start 3 digits long with an 6 or 8 as the first digit and second digit.
Anybody have an idea to bring out the numbers?
thanks

AL stands for the Italian province of Alessandria.
AN for Ancona and AV for Avellino.
Don't know of a province that used AI.

Ok it is AL.On a second look.I can definitly see the A and the line on the L going straight up as well as some of the bottom line.
Any known makers in this province?
Thanks

jcm,
As far as I know, there is no known published source that matches Italian manufacturer numbers to the names that they signify.
