I can't figure out these two marks.
Belt is marked Sterling/USA and S-Fe (I assume Sante Fe?)
I'm nearly certain it's CTP (but could be OTP)
Nice scroll work design and has four parts
Sterling Belt - Sante Fe/CTP
Re: Sterling Belt - Sante Fe/CTP
Hi,
Just a shot in the dark and only offered as a route for further research, but check out the Case Trading Post, they are the trading arm of the Wheelwright Museum of the American Indian at Santa Fe.
As said, it's only a hunch and perhaps, hopefully another member may something more concrete.
We did have another example a while back, see: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=45345&p=132215
Trev.

Re: Sterling Belt - Sante Fe/CTP
Thank you, i did see that post, but it looked like a different one, since that was marked "alpaca" and i assume wasn't stamped USA on it.
i'll check out that other reference though, thanks!
