Ring silver/gold from the America's

Hello all,
I recently acquired a ring that has three-four marks: top one looks like a lion's face turned right or a wolf's head turned left (or horse or dog?), the second is a man's head/profile turned left, the third is undistinguishable by me. The 4th is just to the top right of these marks and is the number 8- I'm presuming to be the ring size.
Further confusing is the plating if this ring- it looks to be silver but also gold washed on the face (sides of face).
Can anyone identify these marks and what/who/when they correspond to?
