Need Help With Hallmark on Ring

Greetings Everyone,

I am really confused with this ring. The hallmark appears to be a B with an A in the top center of the B and an R in the bottom center of the B.

However, if one looked at this with a different perspective, the two right hand curves of the B and part of the A could make an S.

Another confusing aspect is the work TOTE on the head band of the headdress the indian is wearing...no idea what it means.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mark

The trademark you describe is indeed a capital B with a small capital A in its upper portion and a small capital R in the lower portion. It was registered Jul 15, 1966, to the Bar-Tan Manufacturing Co., Providence, Rhode Island, for "jewelry" and was renewed in 1986. The current classification of the trademark is "dead."
