Large Sterling Collar Mark and ID help.

Postby chrismittty » Wed Sep 19, 2012 1:00 pm

I recently got this HUGEE collar and broach set from an estate that had lots of vintage jewelry and collectables. This thing stood out like ruldolphs red nose so I had to scoop it up.
I have tried searching on this site and online for a mark but there seems to be many similar "A" sterling's with copyrights symbols. I'm getting quite turned around and thought I would ask for help. I was told it was assumed native american but I'm not sure, I do think it is American, maybe arts and crafts? I know its about an inch wide at the base of the collar and close to 85 grams. Anyone have any info on these marks, whom they belong to, and about how old this thing is?

I may be way off of the mark, but Anthony Nak Inc, 800 Brazos Street, Ste 300 Austin, TX 78701 has a trademark that was registered in 2006 that looks close enough to at least give them some consideration?

Do you have any links? I would be shocked to think this thing is only 6 years old, the lady was atleast 85+ that owned this before me....I wanna figure this out.

And thankyou silverly

Here's their e-mail address: info@nakarmstrong.com. I don't find any jewelry by them that resembles your pieces. It's just the similiarty of one of their trademarks that put them in the picture at all. You might try sending them these images to see if there's any connection.

The name of the company is apparently derived from the two designers David Nacard Armstrong and Anthony Tarango Camargo. Good luck.

Something like that? Haha, I just get soo lost trying to describe the marks, and there happens to be about 10 or so "A @ STERLING"

I looked at the Nakarmstrong makers marks and its quite different In my opinnion. Not sure where to go, email them and say "Is this one of your fine collars?

If you'd like and as long as there's no objection from the forum management, I'll show this company your images and ask them if they know anything about the pieces. I don't often reach out to companies in this way, but I have done so in the past, and I'm pretty sure I will again in the future.
