I've got a ring I'm not sure about, help?

Sorry for the crap photography.
I actually found it on the ground in Bellingham, WA so I don't know anything about it.

Can't really tell in the photos but the imprints on the back look like a box on top, with a circle on the bottom. And right in between those looks like a word. (STER, STIR, maybe STAR?)

Hope you can help in anyway it would much appreciated.

Oh! And those are the only marks, there is not .925 or anything else like that on the band. Just the 3 marks on the flat back.
