Sterling perfume vial pendant

Hi,
I previously posted this on the Middle Eastern forum, but perhaps it is more appropriately posted here. This is a sterling silver perfume vial pendant. I've tried to compare the marks to world marks on the site, but haven't had success. Any help is appreciated.

Hi Nancy ~ Not sure why you believe this piece to be anything other than American - marks are poorly struck, but feel sure it was made by Howard Sterling: http://www.925-1000.com/ax_howardRI.html

Should have mentioned that, rather than a pendant, your scent/smelling bottle was most likely intended as a chatelaine accessory.

Thanks for the information! I'm embarrassed to say I spent hours researching this mark (I'm stubborn) and looked at everything BUT American marks. Compared them with every eastern / Asian mark I could find. Clearly I'm still on a learning curve. With the help of this site & Rainwater's book, I can usually puzzle things out. Your kind help is much appreciated.
Pat, if you don't mind my asking, how did you get the hallmark to blow up so clearly?
