Unknown Maker's Mark, KO in a shield, old sterling ring

Hello there! I was wondering if anyone could help me ID this maker's mark. I have searched the site and the forums and haven't found it. It looks like a "K" above a small "o" inside of a shield. The ring is small, size 4. It has a ring of very worn symbols on the face that I can't make out. Thanks for the help!

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Your mark was used by The Kinney Company, Providence, Rhode Island.
Founded around 1907. In business at least into the 1970's.
