Compact mirror Sterling/Unknown maker?

i have a 3" compact mirror with stamped Sterling and undentified makers mark.
Any help finding the maker is greatly appreciated!

Hello.

I believe that mark was used by Battin & Company of Newark New Jersey.
In business at least from 1896 to 1927.
Part of their production was small cases (cigarette, eye glass, etc.).
