Japanese Silver Cups

Postby TC82 » Wed Oct 06, 2021 3:14 pm

I recently purchased a set of silver cups. They test as solid silver but I can't read the mark on the bottom. It looks like a Japanese makers mark but I'm not sure. Any help translating the mark would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to a take better picture of the mark under magnification. The seller said that these were brought back to the US during the Korean war. A specific gravity test of one of the spoons showed that these are 0.99 silver, which is what I've read most Korean silver is. I hope this additional info helps.
